Digital+film

So i bought a helios lens for my Zenit the couple of weeks ago and i am very happy with my choice. Not the legendary portrait lens, but her cheeper sister, which is told to be a good lens for a very reasonable price. It really is good as well as it was cheap. I liked the lens so much that i got an adapter and mounted it on my Nikon digital. The idea of course wasn't mine, i had red people do so, and i thought why not to try to combine, since i like both film and digital, The lens is of course manual so the digital camera kind of doesn't know that there is a lens attached. While you can change some settings digitally, like iso and wb, other settings like apperture and focus are controlled manually. I don't think one can change shutter speed when the digital lens is taken off, at least i haven't found a way to do it. I liked a lot that lens on my Nikon but i haven't seen any of this magic with my Nikon. I found focusing from very difficult to impossible, probably due to the adapter, because it had not been a probelm with Zenit. For someone like me with focusing issues even with autofocus lens, i find that struggle to focus taking away too much joy of just capturing a moment. Anyway, here are some photos that i kind of liked. What you think?

  1. i really love the colours and depth of the second frame Kristina. It's always nice to have a new lens, experimenting is always fun ;)
