there is no place like Svartisen

Having lived more than 10 years in Norway, where winters are often as long as until april, i do not generally like snow nor anything winter related. Especially in July. But some places are worth seeing. Especially in July. Take a look at my photos from our recent trip to Svartisen.
Svartisen is the second largest glacier in Norway. Not that i know much about the first one, but this one has places that may relatively easy be acccessible for tourists. The name svartisen translates to black ice, what is the ancient word for the blue color of the old ice and the conrast of that blue color of that ice to snow. Then, it is the place that ice never melts over the years. Well, it melts a bit every year the last 200 of years, so if interested you should hurry to visit;)
that must be the last photo taken by me. you see, i gave up, and did not reach our final goal, did not touch that snow with my own hands and did not take any more photos there. But Darijus did and here are some of the photos that he had taken.
